East Kootenay Wage Subsidy Program
Cranbrook Kimberley Invermere
Targeted Wage Subsidy (TWS) is a Provincial Government sponsored employment program that makes a generous contribution to wages when employers hire eligible applicants for full-time permanent positions.
The program is designed for individuals who are finding it difficult to find permanent, full-time employment in their chosen occupational field. Targeted Wage Subsidies provides help to gain on the job training and valuable work experience.
Services are provided to clients referred from Employment Assistance Services offices in:
- Cranbrook: Job Seekers
- Kimberley: Alpine Employment Resources Centre
- Invermere: Columbia Valley Employment Services
Visit your local employment Centre to see if you are eligible for the Targeted Wage Subsidy Program.
Eligible Participants | | Eligible Employees |
- Unemployed individuals on a current EI Claim, or
- Whose EI benefit period ended within the last 36 months, or
- Who are re-entering the labour force within the last 60 months of a maternity or parental claim
- Other criteria may apply
